Brain Dump

No order. No spelling. No full sentences. Everything taking up space in your head goes on the paper first. Sorting happens on page two, not now.

Set a timer:
Everything that is in there
Page 1 of 3. Nothing on this page is a promise. It is just inventory.

Sort it into moves

Go back through page one and put each item where it actually goes. Half of what felt like a huge task is a two line text. Anything that does not fit a box is probably a want, and wants get page three.

I need to call

Who, and the reason in four words.

I need to text

Short is fine. Late is fine. Send it.

I need to email

Write the subject line here if the body is stuck.

I need to schedule

It is not real until it has a day.

I need to follow through

Already started. Needs one more push.

I need to speak with

The real conversation, not the message about it.

I want to research / learn more about

Park the rabbit hole so it stops interrupting.

I want to make / create

The thing your hands are itching to do.

Page 2 of 3. A category with nothing in it is information too.

Want and need

Both columns are real. Wants are not the reward for finishing the needs, and a day made entirely of needs is how the crash starts. Fill the left side first, while you still have the energy to be honest.

What I WANT to do

No justification required.

What I NEED to do

Real consequence if it does not happen.

Top priorities, and at least one is a want

The one I start in the next hour

Page 3 of 3. Everything else is safe on the paper now. It does not have to live in your head to still be real.
